Unique Integral Process Verification
'A pre-requisite of the current and imminent standards is
to monitor the disinfection temperature independently of the
machine microprocessor, preferably with a failsafe mode to ensure
that this part of the process may not be compromised'
The 'Clinic' uniquely incorporates twin microprocessors
to provide an integral facility. In the event that the twin
microprocessors detect an error the wash cycle is aborted and
an error code is displayed
The 'Clinic' has a separate temperature sensor fitted
to monitor the cycle and will 'failsafe' if the temperature
difference is more than 2ºc from the presets
Three step 'wash & dump'
The 'Clinic' has been designed to 'dump' water
after each stage of the process to ensure that any process residues
are completely removed from the chamber before the next stage
of the process begins.

Integral watchdog control
Primary Control
Effective cleaning in an automated WDD is achieved by the
use of three types of energy Thermal, Chemical &
Physical and it is only the correct combination of
the three elements that will provide thorough cleaning. The
current and imminent regulatory standards require these elements
to be monitored and, in this respect, the 'Clinic' is
unique.
Thermal - Control of the process temperature is vital
at all stages and the 'Clinic' machine’s temperature
is monitored in this respect for main wash, disinfection and
drying.
Chemical - The correct volume of detergent used in
the process is of vital importance and the 'Clinic'
incorporates a sophisticated measuring and verification device
for dispensing the detergent. If the correct volume of detergent
is not provided, the programme will 'failsafe' and abort.
Physical - Physical energy is created through the pump
circuit incorporating wash arms and spray nozzles. The 'Clinic'
measures the pressure and flow of the process water via a sensor
and will 'failsafe' if the optimum performance is not
achieved.
Secondary Control
The 'Clinic' monitors an additional 21 process parameters
to maintain continuity of the process at all times.
Unique Integral Class AA air gap
It is a legal requirement within the European Union for washer
disinfectors to be installed to the requirements of EN1717.
This requires that the machine includes integral class AA air
gap or that a separate tank for each individual water supply
is provided.
The 'Clinic' uniquely incorporates an AA air gap eliminating
the need for expensive external tanks and associated
pipe work to be installed.
Unique Forced Air Drying
The Dawmed 'Clinic' offers a 'forced' air
drying stage to ensure fast effective drying prior to sterilisation.
'IF THE PRODUCT ISN'T CLEAN AND DRY, THEN THE
STERILISATION PROCESS WILL BE COMPROMISED'
The double door 'Clinic' has been designed for zoning
applications and can be used in either 'through the wall'
situations in common with SSD's in hospitals or can be placed
sideways on the bench to create a natural workflow from 'dirty'
to 'clean'.
