The Process
Pre-wash – Must not exceed 35° to
prevent coagulation of proteins and remove gross soil.
Main Wash – Must be maintained between
55° and 60° and include the addition and monitoring of
the detergent to ensure the removal of all remaining soils.
Rinse/Disinfection – Hot water supplied
and heated to 93° to ensure that the surface temperature of
the load is raised to 91° and maintained for not less than
1 minute in line with EN 15883 (as a precaution the 'Clinic'
cools the water prior to draining to aviod damage to drains)
Drying – Drying is a pre-requisite of
the NHS model engineering specification C31 (element 02/06)
“if the product isn’t clean and dry, then
the sterilisation process will be compromised”
The 'Clinic' uniquely dumps solutions at each stage
of the cycle which is a requirement of the standard
Avoiding cross-contamination risk

The 'Clinic' process including the use of
our “tray to machine” system will dramatically reduce
the risks of cross contamination to both staff and patients from
contaminated instruments.
Cross-infection is the spread of pathogenic microorganisms to
patients and staff as a result of the treatment or care provided
to them. An effective decontamination process will dramatically
reduce the potential risks and will ensure that the spread of
the microorganisms is limited.
